ForceTracer™ PLA-CF is a polylactic acid (PLA) material reinforced with 6% chopped carbon fiber. This not only enhances the material's rigidity but also gives parts a matte finish and distinctive carbon fiber matte texture, creating models that are low-profile yet sophisticated without visible layer lines. The carbon fiber helps reduce shrinkage during printing, resulting in 3D printed components with precise dimensions and unique surface finishes. Compared to conventional PLA materials, the physical properties of PLA-CF are significantly improved. Compared to Nylon Carbon Fiber (PA-CF), Carbon Fiber PLA exhibits lower shrinkage and water absorption, making it suitable for various specialized applications including industrial tooling, jigs, machinery, drone manufacturing, and automotive engineering.
