Mixer

The mixer is a mechanical device designed to ensure the stable and uninterrupted feeding of shredded plastic particles into the extruder hopper for filament production. It effectively prevents clumping and the formation of "plastic plugs," which often occur in the narrow parts of the hopper due to material weight. By slowly rotating its mechanical stirrer, the mixer loosens the material, allowing it to flow smoothly and evenly.

The mixer package includes the following components:

• Plastic hopper mount
• Motor with gearbox (5–12V power supply)
• Coupling
• Stirrer
• Bearing
• Hex key
• Type-C power connector

Installation Instructions

1. Remove the upper part of the plastic hopper mount on your extruder.
2. Carefully insert the mixer into the designated opening or mounting area.
3. Secure the mixer with bolts, applying only light pressure to avoid damage.
4. Connect the power cable to the Type-C connector on the mixer and to a 5–12V power source.

Maintenance Guidelines
To ensure long-term and efficient operation of the mixer, follow these guidelines:

• Avoid stirrer friction: Ensure the stirrer rotates freely without touching the metal walls of the hopper. Friction can lead to part wear and device damage.
• Tighten the coupling screws: Regularly check and tighten the screws on the coupling that connects the stirrer to the motor. This prevents the stirrer from detaching and potentially falling into the extruder, which could cause serious damage.
• Keep the power connector clean: Maintain the cleanliness of the Type-C power connector. Dirt or debris can interfere with contact and lead to malfunction.
